Our use of AI, if and when it interacts with customer data, will be secure. All use of AI will comply with our Privacy Policy.
Opt-In
Customers will be asked to opt in to, and can always opt out of, usage of tools and features that incorporate AI on the Edelweiss site.

We acknowledge that AI has a fraught history in its interactions with publishing.
To that end, our goal for our usage of AI is be as thoughtful and ethical as possible, keeping the following issues in mind:

LLMs (Large Language Models) like ChatGPT were trained on copyrighted materials without the permission of the IP holders. Edelweiss wholeheartedly believes that regulations and licensing models must be developed and implemented to protect Intellectual Property.

The creation, training, and maintenance of AI hardware and technology have significant impacts on the environment and contribute to, among other things, climate change, electronic waste, and water scarcity. Edelweiss believes that renewable, sustainable systems must be developed and implemented to protect the health of our planet.
